March 2022:

Claire and Jacob went on their first date at Board Room in Washington, DC. A board game bar that has since become one of their favorite spots. Claire was a few weeks away from a second wrist surgery after having broken her arm and torn her meniscus during a snowboarding accident. Little did Jacob know, meeting at a board game bar would be very appropriate as he was set to begin a Masters Degree in Game Design that fall.

May 2023 & June 2024:

Claire and Jacob are passionate about traveling the world. Having visited over 30 countries individually, some of their favorites that they’ve been to together include Brazil in 2023 and Morocco in June 2024. The trip to Morocco was very special as Jacob took Claire to his Peace Corps site in a very remote part of the mountains. It was a beautiful experience for many reasons, but to see a country together that meant so much to Jacob was magical.

November 2025:

After getting engaged in July 2025 and moving to Pittsburgh the following month, Claire and Jacob bought a house! Dewey and Spud have been thrilled to have so much space to run around. Some things never change though as the four of them love to curl up with a good book or watch Only Murder in the Buildings on a chilly fall night.

October 2026:

They’re getting married!! Claire and Jacob can’t wait to be surrounded by their closest friends and family next year for a beautiful celebration.
